Best Places to Farm Firebloom as of 8.0

The time has come.

I’ve got several websites I take care of, and it’s getting harder to pay for all of them, on top of everything else I have to pay for. With that being said, this is not a good-bye to all of you; it’s merely a good-bye to thewowexp.com

It’ll always be my title, no matter what, but it’s time for a merge.

I already own two gaming websites, and there’s no need for that. So thewowexp’s posts will be merging onto my other website, The Gaming Experience (or TGEXP for short). I create game reviews and guides, so it’s still basically the same thing, just not a specific niche, which is what thewowexp was.

I don’t know when everything will migrate. Just know that it will happen soon.

Sorry everyone, but bills have to be paid, and money has to be saved.

Firebloom (not to be confused with Vileplume–…yea, I unfortunately just went there) is one of those herbs that you might have a tough time clicking on at first. They’re easy to see, given the landscapes they’re in, but damn are they small.

Or maybe it’s just me.

There aren’t a lot of zones that have this herb in them, and the zones that do don’t give you a heavy duty amount, so make sure you have time to spare if you need a lot of them. They do have a variety of uses as a mat to different professions.

★ Profession Required: Herbalism
★ Best Serves: Alchemy, Enchanting, Inscription, Tailoring

Disclaimer

  • My herbalist is a Horde druid for never needing to leave flight form.
  • If your herbalism skill isn’t high enough, you’ll gather Firebloom Petal.
  • Each zone was timed for 30 minutes.

Dismissed Zones

  • Badlands
  • Blasted Lands
  • Searing Gorge

Eastern Kingdoms

Burning Steppes

This route has its pros and cons. The pro portion is that you can get a variety of herbs through the route, and a lot of them too. But that’s where the con comes into play. The herbs won’t respawn fast enough once you finish the lap. Which means you’ll either have to wait a bit for them to respawn, or take time to do something else. Personally, I mined while herbing, which made it so the herbs had time to respawn.

Kalimdor

Tanaris

The route is pretty direct on where to go, not much of anything in the way of obstacles or getting too close to an opposing faction. I mean, it’s a desert area, so what do you expect to see except a whole lot of sand?
